HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE THE BANDWIDTH NECESSARY TO VIEW THE WEBCAST? ALL WEBCASTS ARE STREAMED AT 256 KBPS! 1. If you are NOT registered for a webcast, you can test your video and audio at sites like http://www.youtube.com or similar sites that offer video with audio. Check with your own network administrator first to find out what your computer and system can handle – and ask whether there are any security issues in YOUR office system that might block your reception. 2. If you ARE registered for a webcast, please test your system using the test link given to you in the emails you receive prior to the webcast to make sure that your computer and network can handle streaming video at this bandwidth. If you are having trouble with the webcast buffering or not playing, please check with YOUR OWN network administrator first for additional help to assure that your computer and system will work for the webcast. WHAT ARE THE PLAYER REQUIREMENTS? The player on which the webcasts are viewed requires Flash version 9.0 or greater. If you are not seeing the video or hearing the audio, you can install or upgrade your player at: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. BROWSER RECOMMENDATION Firefox is a better browser for video viewing and downloading materials. So, if you are having problems - download Firefox free of charge at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ and use as the brower for the webcast page and to download CLE materials. HOW DO I TEST MY SYSTEM PRIOR TO THE WEBCAST?
1. To test your system, go to your http://periaktos.bizvision.com. 2. Click on Login and enter your email address and password. You will be redirected to your Dashboard. 3. Under Available Videos/Courses, click on the name of the webcast for which you’ve registered. 4. Once on the webcast page, there will be a test link in a box on the top right of the page. Click on that to be redirected to the test page. Confirm that you can both see and hear the video.
WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE VIDEO PLAYER OR HEAR OR SEE THE STREAMING VIDEO IN THE PLAYER?
1. Confirm that sound is enabled on your computer and that the volume is up. 2. Test audio from other flash videos at another site like http://www.youtube.com to see whether you can hear and see other video. 3. Try logging out of your account and logging back in and restarting the player. 4. If you are still having issues viewing the webcast, please consult YOUR OWN network administrator first for additional help.
WHAT IS I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE TEST BUT HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE ACTUAL WEBCAST?
The actual webcasts are streamed at the same rate of the test, 256 KBPS. If you were able to see the test but are having trouble viewing the actual webcast, it means that there is something taking up too much bandwidth on your network. Do what you can to reduce any other heavy bandwidth use on your computer and consult YOUR OWN network administrator first for additional help.
WHAT DO I DO IF I CAN’T SEE VIDEO?
Follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Hit F5 on your keyboard to refresh the page (PC) (Apple+R for MAC) 2. If refreshing in #1 doesn't work, completely close your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.), reopen the browser and log in again. 3. If closing your browser doesn't work, restart your computer and then reload the page.
WHAT IF I AM EXPERIENCING EXTENSIVE BUFFERING?
Video needs to be streamed before you can watch, and it is likely that video will play faster than it can download. Buffering means that the video is still loading. The buffering time is NOT a webcasting issue – but depends on your own connection speed and computer capability, which determines how quickly the video downloads. Most buffering issues can be resolved by refreshing the page - Hit F5 on your keyboard to refresh the page (PC) (Apple+R for MAC).
If you are experiencing extensive buffering, during a webcast you can click on “Audio Stream Only” on the webcast player page to access the audio stream. In this mode you will still see the Code Letters to verify your attendance and receive CLE credit. PREPARATION FOR A WEBCAST HOW DO I ACCESS THE COURSE MATERIALS?

Some email servers and computers have trouble printing a file directly from the internet. So you may have to save the file first before you can print it: 1. Follow Steps 1 – 5 above to access the course materials and choose Open to just open the file on your computer screen. 2. Once the file loads and you are able to read it, then name the file and save it to “My Documents” (or other chosen hard drive location.) 3. Close the SAVED file and then reopen it under “My Documents” (or other chosen location) and print directly from there.
WHAT IF I TRY TO OPEN THE COURSE MATERIALS AND NOTHING HAPPENS, GIVES AN ERROR MESSAGE OR THE DOCUMENT APPEARS GARBLED?
Possible Causes: 1. Sometimes Adobe Reader cannot display a document that is being sourced over the internet. This usually indicates that you have an older version of Adobe Acrobat Reader that cannot handle PDF documents created with a newer version of Acrobat Reader. 2. When you click on a link to the materials, and nothing happens, this could be a sign that a pop-up blocker of some sort that is blocking the link from being opened. 3. If you get an error when you click on the link to the materials telling you that there is currently no program available to open this type of media, you probably do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system, or Adobe Acrobat Reader is not recognizing the PDF file type. Solutions: 1. Try right-clicking on the document link and select "Save Target As..." to save the document to your computer and then open it from where you saved it. NOTE: Make a note of where you save the document. We suggest saving it to your Desktop for easier retrieval. 2. Check in the Add/Remove Programs module in Control Panel and see what version of Adobe Reader you have and to see if there is more than one version listed. a. Click on the [START] button on the Task Bar and select [Control Panel]. b. Click on the [Add/Remove Programs] in the Control Panel. c. Check for both Adobe Reader and Acrobat Reader in the list. d. If the version number is earlier than 5 or there are more than one listed then remove all of them. e. Go to www.adobe.com and download the latest version of Adobe Reader 7.0.5.
